Summer Tire TOP 15 of 2026: Which Tires Dominated the Roads This Season?
04-06-2026 11:27
The spring tire-change season has now come to an end, making it a good time to review which summer tires drivers preferred most in 2026.
While the 2025 sales charts were largely dominated by Pirelli, Landsail, and Rotalla, this year brought several strong new contenders into the rankings. Customers are becoming increasingly informed in their purchasing decisions, and in addition to well-known premium brands, more drivers are choosing high-quality options from the mid-range and budget segments.
This year saw particularly strong competition from Toyo, Kumho, and Three-A, while Pirelli managed to maintain its leading position.

Pirelli’s strong performance shows that demand for premium-class tires remains high. Drivers particularly value excellent handling, low road noise, and reliable grip at higher speeds.
In addition, Pirelli’s latest models have received an exceptionally strong market response. The new P Zero 5, Cinturato C3, and Powergy 2 have delivered excellent results in both tests and customer feedback. Their key strengths include outstanding wet-road performance, low noise levels, ride comfort, and stability at higher speeds.
Pirelli’s product range is now extremely broad, covering virtually every customer need—from sporty ultra-high-performance (UHP) tires to quiet and fuel-efficient everyday driving tires. This is undoubtedly one of the main reasons why Pirelli has maintained the number-one position for several summers in a row.
Toyo also ranked highly this year, partly because the supply issues that affected the brand in 2025 were successfully resolved for this season. At the same time, Toyo’s strong position reflects how the brand has won over Nordic customers in recent years thanks to its driving comfort, sporty character, and dependable quality.
Rotalla and Three-A also enjoyed a strong season, confirming that price-conscious customers today are looking for products that genuinely perform well rather than simply choosing the cheapest option.
Another notable trend is how competitive the tire market has become. Alongside global premium brands such as Pirelli, Continental, and Michelin, rapidly developing Asian manufacturers are also competing successfully. For consumers, this means greater choice and the opportunity to find high-quality tires across all price ranges.
TOP 15 Most Popular Summer Tire Models of 2026
The model rankings clearly show that customers are increasingly looking for tires that offer a strong balance between price, comfort, and durability.
The most popular model was the Trazano ZuperEco Z-107, which stood out thanks to its exceptional value for money. The sporty Pirelli P ZERO™ (PZ4) and Toyo Proxes Comfort also sold extremely well, particularly among drivers seeking an attractive balance between cost and performance.
Demand for SUV and UHP (Ultra High Performance) tires also remained very strong. This is reflected in the popularity of models such as the Kumho Ecsta Sport S PS72, Landsail RapidDragon, and Vredestein Ultrac Pro.
In summary, the 2026 summer tire season was one of the most diverse in recent years. Nordic drivers are paying increasing attention to tire pricing and are more willing to try lesser-known brands in the budget segment. Value for money, practical everyday usability, and real-world performance have become more important than ever.
Unless the brand is Pirelli, many traditional premium manufacturers are finding it increasingly difficult to maintain their position. Continental and Michelin finished in relatively modest positions in this year’s sales rankings, while demand for Goodyear in the summer tire segment was virtually nonexistent.
