Choose the right tyres for every season
Designed for temperatures above +7 °C. Summer tyres offer shorter braking distances on dry and wet roads, lower rolling resistance and quieter ride. In Estonia you can use summer tyres from 1 March to 30 November.
Browse summer tyresMade for cold weather, snow and ice. The softer rubber compound stays flexible below +7 °C for better grip. In Estonia, winter tyres are mandatory from 1 December to 1 March and allowed from 15 October to 30 April.
Browse winter tyresA compromise between summer and winter performance. Suitable for moderate climates and drivers with low annual mileage. All-season tyres marked with the 3PMSF snowflake symbol are legally accepted as winter tyres in Estonia.

How to read your tyre size
Every tyre has a size code moulded into the sidewall. You can also find it on a sticker inside the driver's door frame, or in your vehicle handbook. Here's how to read it:
Width — 205
The tyre width in millimetres, measured across the tread. Must match what your rim supports. Using a wrong width affects handling and safety.
Profile — 55
The sidewall height as a percentage of the width. A lower number means a sportier, firmer ride. A higher number means better comfort and pothole protection.
Diameter — R16
The rim diameter in inches. "R" stands for radial construction (virtually all modern car tyres). Must exactly match your wheel rim.
Tip: Van or light truck tyres often have a C at the end (e.g. 205/55R16C), indicating reinforced construction for heavier loads. Many compact vans like Citroën Berlingo or VW Caddy use passenger-car sizes - check your handbook.
Trusted tyre brands for every budget
We carry tyres from over 40 manufacturers. Whether you want a top-tier premium tyre or a solid budget option, we have something for you. All tyres sold at Rehvid Pluss meet EU safety standards.

Not sure which brand to pick? Check the EU tyre label on each product - it rates fuel efficiency (A-E), wet grip (A-E), and external noise, giving you an objective way to compare regardless of brand.
Tyre buying tips
Check the EU tyre label
Since 2012, all tyres sold in the EU carry a label rating fuel efficiency (A-E), wet grip (A-E), and external noise. Look for these in our product listings to compare objectively.
Replace in pairs or sets
For balanced handling, replace tyres in pairs (both front or both rear) at minimum. For the best safety, replace all four at once - especially when switching seasons.
Don't ignore tread depth
The legal minimum in Estonia is 1.6 mm for summer and 3 mm for winter tyres. For optimal safety, consider replacing summer tyres below 3 mm and winter tyres below 4 mm.
When should you change your tyres?
Seasonal changeover in Estonia
Estonian law requires two tyre changes per year:
- Switch to winter tyres by 1 December at the latest (allowed from 15 October). Studded tyres are permitted until 15 April.
- Switch to summer tyres between 1 March and 30 November. Running winter tyres in summer increases fuel consumption and wear.
- Plan your changeover early! Workshops fill up fast in October and March. Book a tyre change in advance.
Signs you need new tyres
- Tread depth: Below 3 mm on summer tyres or 4 mm on winter tyres, performance drops significantly. Legal minimums are 1.6 mm and 3 mm respectively.
- Uneven wear: If one side wears faster, check your wheel alignment. Replace affected tyres, uneven tread compromises handling and safety. Read more: Wheel alignment
- Age: Even with good tread, tyres older than 5 years should be replaced. Rubber hardens over time, reducing grip. Check the DOT code on the sidewall for the manufacturing date.
- Visible damage: Cracks, bulges or cuts in the sidewall mean the tyre should be replaced immediately. This is a blowout risk, especially at highway speeds.

Frequently asked questions about tyre buying
How do I find out which tyre size fits my car?
Check the sticker on the inside of your driver's door frame, your vehicle handbook, or simply read the numbers on the side of your current tyres (e.g. 205/55R16). Additionally, our search allows you to search by car license plate.
What is the difference between studded and non-studded winter tyres?
Studded tyres have metal pins that bite into ice, giving the best grip on icy roads. Non-studded winter tyres rely on a softer rubber compound and special tread patterns. They are quieter and perform well on snow and wet roads, but offer less grip on pure ice. Both are legal in Estonia during the winter period.
Are budget tyres safe?
Yes. All tyres sold in the EU - regardless of brand - must pass strict safety certification. Budget tyres are a valid choice, especially for lower-mileage vehicles. Premium and mid-range tyres generally offer better wet grip, longer tread life and lower noise, but budget options will always meet the legal minimum safety standards.
How old can "new" tyres be?
Tyre age is shown by the DOT code on the sidewall (e.g. 2425 = week 24 of 2025). Tyres stored properly are safe to use for at least 5 years from the date of manufacture. We at Rehvid Pluss keep our stock fresh and rotate regularly to ensure you receive recent production.
Do you sell tyres for vans, SUVs and light trucks?
Absolutely. We carry a full range for passenger cars, SUVs, vans and light cargo vehicles. Van/light truck tyres are marked with "C" (cargo) and feature reinforced sidewalls for higher load capacity.
How to find suitable tyres for electric cars?
In Rehvid Pluss, tyres suitable for electric cars are marked with the "lightning charge" symbol (). There is also a separate filter for this in the tyre search, in the "tyre label" section.
Can I buy tyres and have them fitted at your workshop?
Yes - it's the most popular option. Order your tyres online, choose pickup at one of our workshops, and book a tyre change. We handle fitting, balancing and disposal of your old tyres.
Buying tyres online in Estonia
In 2026, buying tyres online has become the preferred way for Estonian drivers to equip their vehicles. An online tyre shop like Rehvid Pluss offers significant advantages over visiting a physical store: you can browse thousands of products at your own pace, compare prices across brands, check EU tyre label ratings side by side, and place your order at any time of day. With free delivery to your door in 1-3 business days, you don't even need to leave home. For those who prefer a hands-on approach, our workshops in Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu and Viljandi also welcome walk-in customers.
Quality and safety are non-negotiable when it comes to tyres - they are the only contact point between your car and the road. Every tyre we sell meets all EU regulations and carries a valid EU tyre label. We work directly with manufacturers and authorised distributors to ensure authenticity and freshness. Whether you choose a premium Pirelli or Vredestein, a dependable mid-range Toyo or Kumho, or a budget-friendly Rotalla or Trazano - you can be confident that your tyres are safe, certified and fit for Estonian road conditions.

When should you switch to summer tires?11.03.2026Every spring, drivers ask the same question: when is the right time to switch from winter tires to summer tires? The answer depends not only on the calendar. Both legal requirements and actual weather conditions play an important role. What Does the Law Say? In Estonia, the use of winter tires is mandatory from December 1 to March 1. Studded tires are allowed from October 1 to March 31. If weather conditions require it, studded tires may be used until April 30.This means that, according to the law, summer tires can technically be installed already at the beginning of March. However, in practice this is not always the most sensible decision. -
