Rehvid Pluss has added a new and rapidly growing tyre brand – Atlander. This international manufacturer focuses on winter and studded tyres tested in Nordic conditions, combining high quality with an affordable price.
Atlander has introduced two completely new Nordic studded models – Lander Studs ATL77 and ATL78. Both were developed in cooperation with Finnish engineers and tested in Finland’s harsh winter conditions to ensure reliable grip on ice, snow, and slush. The tyres are TRAFICOM approved, confirming their safety and suitability for Northern climates.
Winter doesn’t give up – and neither should your choice of winter tyres. Kumho introduces its latest models: the studded WinterCraft Ice Wi32 and the friction-type WinterCraft Ice Wi51, both designed specifically for the demanding winters of the North.
Independently tested in Finland and Sweden, these tyres offer proven grip, confident handling, and pricing up to 25% lower than Hankook – without compromising on safety or quality.
Pirelli has launched the all-new studless winter tyre ICE FRICTION™, designed specifically for the harsh Nordic climate. The tyre combines top-level safety, best aquaplaning resistance, excellent grip on ice and snow, and surprising driving comfort. ICE FRICTION raises the bar both for conventional drivers and EV owners.
Imagine this: you're driving on the highway at 80 km/h, it's raining, and the car in front of you suddenly brakes. You hit the brakes. If your car is equipped with new premium tires, you'll likely stop in time. But what if your tires are worn—or worse, cheap? You might continue driving for dozens of meters. Possibly straight into an accident.
This isn’t journalistic exaggeration—it’s fact. Tire tests by ADAC, AutoBild, and the German Technical Inspection Association (GTÜ) show shocking differences that don’t become visible until it’s too late.

When speaking about tires, one can often hear about the DOT code, marking the time of the tire’s manufacture. This number is the basis for various recommendations and instructions regarding the time when specific tires get too old and when one should stop using them.
However, it is often forgotten that the optimal period of use for tires is also greatly affected by how and for how long they have actually been used as well as how they have been stored. Based on research data by the Korea Consumer Agency, German Federal Motor Transport Authority, and Osaka University, Michelin has compiled instructions to help better understand the age and storage time of tires.
